First Aid Training at Peaks Place in Laax
Responsibility in Everyday Life
At Peaks Place and the s’nani restaurant, many things happen simultaneously throughout the day. Guests arrive, the restaurant is bustling, and processes all work together seamlessly. This makes it all the more important to remain calm and act with confidence, even when something unexpected happens.
For us, hospitality means more than just service. It also involves responsibility behind the scenes. That is precisely why the Peaks Place and s’nani teams underwent further training together and participated in a first aid course with the Samaritans Falera/Laax.
A look behind the scenes reveals what we took away from that day and why such training is crucial in our daily work.
A Look at the Samaritan Training at Peaks Place
Here’s how the Samaritan training session at Peaks Place went
Practice over theory
The training focused on real-life situations encountered in the day-to-day operations at Peaks Place and s’nani. In collaboration with the Samaritans Falera/Laax, various scenarios were simulated and discussed step by step.
On the one hand, the training covered typical situations in the kitchen. On the other hand, the Wellness & Spa area was also included. In addition, scenarios involving the handling of chemicals were addressed, such as what to do if something gets into the eye.
In all cases, the following was specifically examined: What should be done first? What needs to be taken into account? What steps follow afterward?
It was precisely this role-playing of procedures that demonstrated how important clear structures and quick action are in an emergency.
Why First Aid Training Is Essential
Ready at the right moment
In the day-to-day operations at Peaks Place and s’nani, there are many priorities: looking after guests, coordinating workflows, and ensuring quality. Issues like safety and first aid often take a back seat.
This is exactly where the training comes in. It creates a shared understanding within the team: Who takes responsibility? Who reacts how? And what happens next?
It’s not about mastering every situation perfectly. It’s about knowing the procedures and being able to rely on one another at the right moment.

At the same time, this collaboration also demonstrates how important regional partnerships are to us—not only in the services we offer our guests but also in the professional development of our team.
