Lorena Cadalbert: mountain biker, young talent and new Peaks Place ambassador
The certified bike hotel Peaks Place in Laax and mountain biker Lorena Cadalbert will be going down the same path in the future. The Peaks Place would like to support the 17-year-old from Chur in combining her commercial apprenticeship with her career as a top athlete. At the same time, this opens up new opportunities for our guests and makes unique biking experiences possible. Thus, we set a clear signal at Peaks Place and emphasize the consistent focus on biking.
For hotel director and host Daniel Keller – himself an enthusiastic biker – Peaks Place and the young motivated mountain biker Lorena Cadalbert are a perfect match: «It is important to promote young talents appropriately. To show them that many people believe in them and stand behind them. This encourages them to keep going and grow from it.»
Together with Lorena we are planning exclusive bike tours in September, where our guests can take a look behind the scenes of the bike sport and get tips from the pro.

Lorena as a mountain biker with great ambition
Lorena Cadalbert grew up in Chur and attended the talent school there for three years after elementary school.
Now the 17-year-old is doing a sports apprenticeship in the commercial sector at graubündenSPORT. Lorena tried out different sports early on and finally decided on the same sport as her brother: biking. She was already enthusiastic about participating in races in the past. Her goal was always the podium and thanks to this ambition, at the age of 15, she was selected to the U-17 national team. Two years later, Lorena then joined the U-19 national team.
Already in 2017 Lorena finished second at the U15 Combined Competition European Championship in Graz. In 2018 she secured 1st place at the U15 Team Relay Youth European Championship in Pila and also at the PROFFIX Swiss Bike Cup.
Big plans
Looking towards European and World Championship titles.
In the future, Lorena wants to participate in the European Championships and the 2022 World Championships and continue to achieve top results. Her next goals are to celebrate further successes with the national team, to be promoted to a top team and to participate in the Olympic Games. With an active support, both by providing the necessary infrastructure and training facilities at La Senda Wellness & Fitness, as well as suitable equipment, Peaks Place would like to accompany Lorena on her further way.
