If you want to experience the beautiful and breathtaking scenery around Lake Cauma, you definitely can’t miss a walk around the lake even in winter. Saskia likes the tranquility and the wonderful scenario at Lake Cauma the most during winter time.
You can also challenge yourself in this quiet place and take an ice bath. With such a great view and the crystal clear water of the lake, you almost forget that the water has a temperature of barely three degrees.

Instead of starting from Peaks Place in Laax, you can as well start from the bus stop Flims Waldhaus, Camping and then walk to Lake Cauma. You will meet fewer people on this route and enjoy the idyllic atmosphere even more. On the way to Lake Cauma you will also pass another small lake, the «Lag Prau Tuleritg». This lake is often covered with fog, which is worth looking at, and creates a mystical atmosphere.
For this winter excursion to Lake Cauma, Saskia also recommends taking a picnic or lunch box with you.

A walk from Laax, Staderas to Flims
Near the Peaks Place is the bus stop Laax, Staderas. From there it goes off into the forest towards Flims. Saskia enjoys walking through the forest. And when there has just been fresh new snow and the sun is shining, the walk becomes a magical experience – since the snow then glitters so beautifully.
